Sanders
Going crazy from boredom, I started to get homesick. I wish I had enough time to go back to AZ for a day or two, but it had to wait until the following weekend.
Something was telling me to look up some marriage counseling information. Feeling that I may really lose my wife had me tripping. I missed everything about her. I guess I just took shit for granted. The more I thought about it, the more my heart ached.
Never experiencing these types of feelings had me at a disadvantage. They were not familiar to me, so I was unsure how to deal with the situation. If it were anyone other than my wife, the problem would have been solved. Real talk!
Calling Me’Shellay wasn’t an option. I had nothing positive to let slip out of my mouth, so the best thing I could do was keep the damn thing shut. Biting the bullet, I called her anyway and she picked up on the first ring.
“Sanders, I have been worried about you!” She scolded me. “No matter what goes on between us, you still need to at least drop a life line or something!”
“I know and I didn’t call you to argue.” I said in a sad tone. “I needed to hear your voice. I miss you guys so much. You don’t even have to respond, just know that I love you.”
“We love you too. I don’t know where our marriage goes from here, but you will always have a piece of my heart.” She confessed.
“Can we talk about it when I come home for the weekend?” I asked. “I don’t want you to feel pressured, but it would mean a lot to me.”
“Yes, we sure can.” Me’Shellay answered. “I am glad you called to check in. We will see you soon.”
“Okay, and tell the kids I love them, but don’t tell them I’m coming. I want to surprise them.” I requested before we hung up.
Feeling better after the call, I was able to sleep through the night. I was happy because I needed it.
The next day was back to work, and was soon back to the bullshit as I spotted Trina at my jobsite. It was never ending drama with this chick. What was it going to take to let this woman know her boundaries, and keep her ass within them? Putting on my game face, I approached her.
“Sanders I didn’t come here to start trouble. I know that you are busy working, but meet me here when you get off. We need to talk.” She fussed as she handed me a card with the hotel information and walked off.
I was so glad she didn’t come up there with her damn clown suit on, because I hated to have to strip her ass up out of it. I would be just the person to do that shit. It was already bad enough that the trick hunted me down…
